February Spending

I can't believe it's the end of February already! Crazy how fast the year is going so far. But that means it's time to link up with Fran and the other budgeting bloggers to share what we bought for the month. I'll be honest, I had many the opportunity to go shopping or getting something on sale, but I did pretty good this month if I do say so myself :)




1. Earrings- the ones I got are actually a Marsala color (Old Navy) $6.96 

2. Striped Terry-Fleece Dress (Old Navy) $17.47

Total = $24.23! (Way under my $40 budget!)


I've seen so many other bloggers style Old Navy's fit and flare dresses and look fabulous in them that I finally decided to try one out for myself and I love it! This silhouette is super flattering, especially for those of us with more of a pear shape, and it's definitely something I'll be able to wear into the warmer weather as well.

I've also been seeing these pretty large stone earrings all over the place, but I really didn't want to pay the full price for them. I'll take these $7 knock-offs any day! Much more budget friendly :)

    Great job staying well under budget! Those earrings look exactly like the Kate Spade version and I love that striped dress!

    I didn't do as well as you did, but I've been a lot more thoughtful about my purchases this year, so that's at least something!

      That is really good too! I've really been trying to do that too, which is probably why I went to both ON and Target yesterday and didn't buy a thing! Who am I? lol

    That dress really will be so versatile for you! I can see it being great with layers in the winter and great with sandals in the summer!

    Old Navy has some fabulous and affordable dresses for spring! This one is so cute! And I love the earrings! Great scores! And thanks for reminding me to stay on my budget! Susan

      So true! Surprisingly blue isn't a very predominant color in my wardrobe so it's always nice to try out different colors!

    The Old Navy fit and flare dresses are fantastic! Not to tempt you after doing such a great job on your spending, but I just found the most fantastic lightweight jersey short-sleeve dresses there this weekend. I don't usually like wearing dresses, but I bought TWO of these!

      Thanks Ada! I absolutely love this dress! It is a thicker material so it's not see-through yet not too heavy so I'll be able to wear it this spring and summer no problem!

    Yep, I'm with everyone else: that dress is awesome! I typically really like Old Navy's dresses - they always hold up pretty well and they have plenty of fit-and-flare styles, which are my favorite!!! Can't wait to see the dress on you, dear!
