Neutrals and Leopard

Hi readers! Happy St. Pat's day! I usually don't do much celebrating of this day, although I'll probably be wearing some green and I am sporting this fun Jamberry mani! I'm sorry I've been a little MIA in terms of blogging, commenting, and answering comments. I'll admit I've been in another little blogging rut lately. That, and hubby and I have recently gotten into Game of Thrones, so there go our nights :)

I did want to share this pic of an outfit I wore a long time ago. I got the inspiration from Ginny's instagram and I love the way it turned out! For some reason, I don't do a lot of black on black, but I love how classic it looks. I also tied the ends of my scarf together to get the infinity look (and wrapping it around my neck 3 times because of how long it is). I've been doing that a lot this year with my scarves and I just think there's something more polished about the infinity look. Except I hate how that one bottom loop is resting.

Striped Fit-and-Flare

Well, I don't have much to say for this post, but I wanted to show you how I wore my new striped dress from Old Navy! (I actually wore it quite a few weeks ago, but I guess just behind on actually blogging and getting posts up!) I absolutely love this dress! Super soft, super flattering, and thick enough fabric that I'm not giving anyone a free show ;) Oh, and pardon how tired I look. I was finally able to take a picture before work and hadn't had my daily dose of caffeine yet :)

Chevron for Work & Play

Hello friends! I hope you all had a good weekend! We had some GORGEOUS weather so we definitely took advantage of it and got outside! We are supposed to have highs in the 50's and 60's for the next week and I really hope it's here to stay and not some fluke! I likes me some Spring weather :)

Last weekend my hubby and I went to the MoA and I got my shopping on :) Two things I got were this chevron top from H&M for under $10 and these ankle pants from The Limited for about $14! Here's how I wore the two for work:

 Top: H&M (similar)
Pants: The Limited (same)
Heels: Target (similar)
Earrings: World Market (similar)
Necklace: Purple Peridot (similar)
Bracelets: Purple Peridot & Tiny Dazzles (similar)

I love this top! It's super soft and will be perfect for the warmer weather coming up. And these ankle pants are super comfortable! Always a plus for anything I wear to work :) The picture doesn't show it, but they are a really pretty cobalt color with tiny polka dots. I love this top so much I decided to try a casual look for Friday (and may be wearing it now too...)

March Currently...

It's already the first Wednesday of the month (crazy!) so it's time to link up with Anne and Jenna to share our currently's!

My hubby and I went to Disney World/Universal Studios back in October and I wish everyday that I could go back! Even without kids we had the best time and definitely if we win the lottery, my dream is to go to every Disney park all over the world!

We've got a few things that we need to start planning. We are going to (hopefully) put a raised garden bed in our backyard when it warms up, so we need to plan how we want that to look. We are getting drain tile in our basement next month to prevent leaks and such, so we are going to be planning how we want to finish off the basement. First on that list definitely needs to be a second bathroom :) And in a close second is an awesome theater room/living room! (you've definitely got to have priorities!)

I haven't been making anything lately, but I want to make either a Spring wreath or one for St. Patrick's Day. (or a combo?)

I love cooking. It's so fun to follow a recipe or put a little of this and a little of that together to create a delicious meal. Baking on the other hand, I've never really gotten into it. I do love making bread in my bread maker! Haha does that count? ;) But if I were to bake something, these look pretty good:

Obviously lots of Netflix under this category :) Hubby and I are catching up on the new season of House of Cards and I'm slowly working my way through Parenthood (I made it to season 3!)

Pinspired: Utility Vest

Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! (And happy March! How the heck did that happen so fast??) Before I get to today's post, it's time to announce the winner to my Gordman's giveaway! The winner is...

Valerie Petersen!!

Congrats!! Check your email! And thank you to everyone who entered and who follow my little blog :) It really means a lot to me!

For today's outfit, I decided to copy this pin which encompasses two of my favorites, stripes and vests! I love my utility vest, but for some reason am having a harder time styling it during the winter. Maybe because it's much thinner than all of my other vests? No matter what the reason, Pinterest to the rescue and to give me new ideas!
