Pinspired: Mustard and Cobalt
Hey ladies! Sorry it's been awhile again. Lots going on at work and home and when that happens the blog usually takes a back seat. Hopefully I can get more motivation because I have some fun things planned!
I've been following a lot of style challenges on Instagram and sometimes when I get the motivation I'll actually pick an outfit and join along :) This outfit is based on this pin and I mostly like how this turned out (although ankle pants and loafers make it look like I have cankles...)
Cardigan: Old Navy (similar)
Pants: Old Navy (same)
Shoes: Target (same)
This top is one I found during one of my thrifting adventures last year. I thought it would be a great addition to my wardrobe, but in actuality I've only worn it a handful of times. It's really short, which I'm not a big fan of, so who knows how much longer it will last. I'm trying it out a few more times to be sure, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. At least I didn't shell out a ton for it.
Well, hope you all have a good Wednesday! Week's half way over!
I'm not sure if I've ever paired mustard and cobalt together, but I really like how this turned out for you! It's too bad when we don't get as much wear from something as we thought we would, but I think there is something to be said for not shelling out too much for it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! I do agree with you I don't feel as guilty not liking this shirt as much because it was from Goodwill. Oh well now I'll just have to be on the hunt for a replacement yellow tee :)
DeleteI love the mustard and cobalt combo. Looks great! I adore your necklace too!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the mustard and cobalt together, and your necklace is stunning! Have a lovely start to April, Maria!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Brenda! :)
DeleteI would never think to put these colours together, very cute Maria! Hope you are having a great week:)

Thank you Marta!
DeleteGreat colors on top and you did a great job layering the 2 pretty necklaces.
ReplyDeleteExcited for next week, Maria?
Have a great weekend, Ada.
Thanks Ada! I've been wanting to try the layered necklace look for a long time but finally found the right pieces for the job!
DeleteMustard and cobalt look so great together! I love your layered necklaces!

Doused In Pink
Thank you Jill! I do love these colors together :)
DeleteTops can be tough when they're too short. Is it easier to tuck into a skirt instead? This color combination is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHmm I should try that! Thanks for the tip!
DeleteShirt sure can be hard to style when they are short. I always put a cami under them. Have a great weekend.

I usually do that too just so the tops aren't too see-through. Maybe if I get a cami with a fun detail on the bottom it would look better? hmm
DeleteI love that cardigan on you whether it is short or long, but then again I love anything cobalt blue. What a cute outfit! I can't wait to do Budget Babes with you and Ada this coming Friday chica!

Cobalt blue is definitely a good color all year round!
DeleteI love how this came out. I need a cobalt cardigan badly. The layering of the two pretty blue/teal necklaces is perfect and I also love the layering of the 2 bracelets. So, so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove this color combo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah!
DeleteBeautiful colors here on you. I don't think it's too short as you have layered it very nicely. Thank you for linking up with the Thrift Sisters.
