Frosty VoxBox

Hey ladies! Sorry for being MIA again... I seriously have good intentions about blogging, but then I get home from work and would rather be reading (almost done with my 3rd book of the year!) or catching up on Parenthood on Netflix (almost done with season 2...) Hopefully soon I'll be able to get into somewhat of a routine again and actually post semi-regularly :)

Today I'm sharing with you my newest Influenster VoxBox I received! (Actually I received it over a month ago, but better late than never, right?) I signed up with Influenster last May and this is the second VoxBox I've received. It's always fun to get a box full of new and different products to review in the mail :) And this box didn't disappoint!

1. Fruit Vines Bites- Strawberry

You guys, I have a serious sweet tooth. SERIOUS. Which is probably not the best because my family has a history of diabetes, but that's a story for another day. These things are so good! So much so that before I knew it half the bag was gone... 3.5 servings my foot. I will definitely be buying these guys again! They'd be perfect for a road trip, or watching a movie, or blogging, or a snack at work, or reading... ;)

2. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Black

Eyeliner is an everyday part of my makeup routine. Usually I buy the pencil eyeliner, however by the end of the day it somehow rubs off and it looks like a mess. I've tried liquid eyeliner before, but I think I must be just too unskilled to have it come out in a straight line. This stuff, on the other hand, is amazing! It has the application of a pencil while staying put like a liquid! Love :)

3. Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

I was never one to use eye makeup remover as part of my nightly routine. I'd just wash my face at night and a lot (but not all) of my eye makeup would come off. Bad, I know. So I was excited to try this product when it came in my VoxBox. I was impressed. It did remove all of my eye makeup with very little effort and didn't irritate my eyes at all! This will definitely be a product I'll be adding to my nighttime routine.

4. McCormick Gourmet Thyme

One of my favorite things is cooking and trying new recipes! One of my resolutions/goals for the New Year has been to try eating healthier and using less processed food in cooking. I've been using so many more spices and so many more fresh veggies and everything tastes so good! Thyme has actually been a spice I've been using a lot more of in recipes, although you do have to be careful how much you use because you don't want your meal to taste like a Christmas Tree ;)

5. NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum

I'm not big into lip color. I don't know if I just OD'd on it from high school show choir or what, but I much prefer a nourishing lip balm to a lipstick. I've gotten lipsticks as part of beauty boxes or other things before and the color has been really off. But Sugar Plum was actually a really nice color! It's more of a maroonish color but it works really well with my skin tone. Maybe I'll become more of a daily lip color girl after all!

6. Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea

I will admit I am not a fan of mint at all. Yuck. I'm not ever sure why. I remember eating mints when I was a kid, but they're just too spicy or something for me now. I do use mint toothpaste and I love my peppermint essential oil that I have, but just don't like the taste much. Although, last time I was at Olive Garden I did eat the after dinner mint they give you and I actually liked it! So I figured I would give this tea a try so see if maybe my tastes have changed. (Your taste buds apparently do change every 7 years!) I have to admit, it wasn't terrible. There were other flavors in it besides mint, such as orange peel, so the taste wasn't as minty as I thought it would be. It had a nice smell to it too, and I could really pick out the orange from among the flavors. No, I don't think I'll be drinking this every day, but maybe every once in awhile I'll indulge :)

7. EcoTools Hair Brush- Sleek + Shine Finisher

I've actually been looking around for a new hairbrush so I was excited that one was included in this box! I've never tried a brush like this before with more finer bristles, so it took a little bit of getting used to because it doesn't brush through as much of my hair as a brush with thicker bristles (does that even make sense?) But it does make my hair feel a lot softer, which I love!

8. No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum- Sample

I am almost to the age when I need to start worrying more about using anti-aging products. I don't have many worries in that department yet, but I am starting to notice more fine lines around my eyes, so the aging journey is slowly starting! My skin tends to breakout from time to time, so I'm very wary about trying new products on my face. I've used Aveeno for years and whenever I've switched to try something else, most of the time my face doesn't agree with my decision. So I was a little bit wary of trying this product out, but I did end up liking it! It went on smoothly and didn't leave a sticky or greasy after effect on my face, which I always appreciate. The directions say that you will start to notice the effects after about 2 weeks. I only received a sample of this, so obviously not enough for 2 weeks, but I have to say it didn't irritate my skin at all, the little that I was using it. Once I get to the age when I'm worrying more about the aging of my skin, I think this will be a product I'll be reaching for!

I received this box free from Influenster in exchange for my review.
