Black and White
There's something so classic and stylish about black and white, don't you think? I wore this to an anniversary party we went to recently. The dress code was casual, but I still wanted to look put together. I also decided to add a pop of teal with the necklace. Kind of gets lost in the pattern of the shirt, though. Oh well.

Capris: Denizen via Target
Sandals: Target (are you sick of these yet??)
Necklace: Farmers' Market booth
And by loosely, I mean it's a black, printed top with white bottoms. But for some reason, I don't think I would have consciously put these two pieces together without looking at this pin first. I guess that's what Pinterest is all about, right? Getting inspiration even though you don't follow a pin to the T.
Here's another way I've worn this top (with the same sandals too... I swear I have more than one pair of sandals!):
Here are other ways I've worn my white capris:

I don't think you need to recreate an outfit exactly. I love how you made it your own and it's so fun seeing how you styled the two pieces other ways!

Thank you Claire!
DeleteHaha, I wear the same flats way too often and wonder the same thing!

It's the same with my boots too in the cold weather. I think when I find shoes like that, I just need to get a couple in different colors, that way technically I'm wearing different shoes :)
DeleteI really like your hair this way; it's like it has a little volume at the top? And I couldn't agree more about black and white. I think the pinned look is a similar silhouette to yours! So, yes, it is a loose resemblance :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Danielle! Haha, I have no idea what I did different! It's either an in-between wash day or I pushed it back a different way. I wish it had that much volume all the time!
DeleteBlack & white is my favourite, you can never go wrong with it!! All of your looks are so practical and cute!

Thanks Marta! I hardly wear black and white, but I think I should more often :)
DeleteThese pieces go together perfectly! You can't go wrong with black and white =) I often come up with an outfit that only sorta resembles the original pin.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how things you never think to put together end up being some of your favorite combinations!
DeleteSuper cute top! I love the teal necklace!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura!
DeleteYes, black and white is definitely a classic look! You have definitely maximized the use of these pieces with all the various pieces. Beautiful.

Thanks Ayana!
DeleteGot to love pinterest for outfit inspiration. I love how you add the pop of teal in your outfit
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy! I love adding this necklace as a color pop in many different outfits!
DeleteI love wearing white in Summer. Your capri's are so versatile, I love the turquoise tops!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The turquoise tops are definitely some of my favorite in my closet :)
DeleteLove seeing how you remixed several pieces in your wardrobe, and I can definitely see the correlation to your pin! I'm totally in love with the turquoise sleeveless blouse you're wearing with the white capris, too! Love the color combo there and it's a really flattering shade on you!

Thank you Gina! That outfit is definitely one of my favorites too :)
DeleteVery chic B+W Outfit - two colors one can never do wrong in. I remember last Summer I wore some White Skinny Jeans with a sleeveless B+W Polka Dotted, High-neck top, almost identical look to the one you had pinned. Great minds think alike, Maria. =)
ReplyDeleteThey definitely do :) The top in the pin looks identical to a blouse I have in my closet too! I should try recreating this pin again with different items!
