Maroon and Chevron

Bah, sorry about the shadows on my face! What the heck sun... way to ruin my pictures... :-P Anyway, this was an outfit I wore over the weekend. I love my maxi skirts/dresses, but honestly it's been too hot to wear them lately! With temps in the 80's this summer, I'd much rather wear shorts. This weekend it was in the lovely 70's, so I decided to break out this skirt again and wear it with this much neglected top, aka the one I wore the day I met my hubby :)

Maxi: JC Penney (same in Tall/similar)
Tee: The Limited (similar)
Necklace: Purple Peridot (PP site/Kendra Scott)
Flats: Old Navy (similar) [I promise I'm wearing shoes, they just disappear in the grass!]

In other news, I really like this pink/purple (I don't know if I'd call it maroon, but it's not really pink or purple either. What do you think?) color paired with black! I feel like black paired with a brighter color gives a very fall-vibe to an otherwise warm-weather piece of clothing. Yup, and that is about all I have to say on that subject. One day closer to the weekend! :)

  5. I can't put my finger on the name of this color, but I'm leaning towards dark fuchsia? Whatever it's name, it looks great with this skirt. I don't know why I haven't thought to pair my fuchsia tee with my navy maxi skirt!
