LBD

This is probably one of the more under-utilized pieces in my closet, but when Bri announced that the Third Thursday Threads was the LBD, I knew I should pull this out again... even though I'm posting this on a Monday instead of Thursday (technically I did wear this last Thursday). Oh well. Some day I'll get on schedule with blogging :)

Dress: New York and Co.
Cardigan: New York and Co.
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: Edith Marie Jewelry

I got this dress almost 4 years ago now, but it was during a buy one get one 50% off sale, plus I had another coupon or discount, so this dress ended up being around $9! Can't beat that price! It's supposed to be cooler later this week, so I'm planning on wearing it with my chambray underneath. I don't know how it will turn out, but we will see!

Did you all have a good weekend? Ours kept us busy. I got some cleaning and laundry done, we went to the movies and watched a couple at home, we (hubby mostly) finished a cement project on my parent's driveway, we went thrifting and I walked out empty-handed! I'm really looking forward to this next three-day weekend though. We are planning on going to the State Fair and I'm super excited!

This is the first time wearing this dress on my blog, but I wore this cardigan one other time here. I don't know why, but I have a hard time wearing 3/4 sleeve tops and cardigans. I feel like it doesn't keep me warm enough in the winter and colder-weather months, but it's too hot to wear in the summer. Does anyone else have this problem or am I the only one?

  1. What a perfect LBD! Love how you styled it with the cardigan and I think it will look great with the chambray!

  3. You cannot go wrong with this dress! I can't wait to see your layering attempts. I've never thought about layering a chambray underneath a cotton/jersey dress before--great idea! Thanks so much for linking up to Sunday Best!
