Thursday, November 8, 2018: Day 5

This day was our final day in California Adventures. The park opened at 8:00 am instead of 9:00 am, so we had to get up and moving a bit earlier than we previously had to, but got an extra hour of park time in instead! We started off the day with some shopping, then got right into the rides- we rode Monsters Inc. twice in a row (my son couldn't see the first time so they let us go right on again!), The Little Mermaid, Pixar Pal-A-Round, Midway Mania, we went on the Bakery Tour, then went into Cars Land to ride Mater's ride and Radiator Springs Racers.

They had some fun photo op's set up in that part of the park we took advantage of.

Jack Jack Cookie Nom Noms are a must ;)

My son walked right up to this little mannequin and asked to take a picture :)

We ended up leaving the park for lunch in Downtown Disney- we got Earl of Sandwich again (delicious!) and after that we walked into the Disneyland Hotel to look around a bit. Definitely a hotel that is on our bucket list! Hubby and I both loved the vintage Disney feel to it.

The grounds were beautiful!

After looking around we went back to Downtown Disney for some ice cream at Salt & Spoon (yum!) then back to the hotel for naps.

He napped so well on this trip!

After a rest, it was back to California Adventures. We started the afternoon seeing the Frozen show, which was amazing! The rest of the day was very low-key: we did some more shopping, rode Luigi's ride, met McQueen, then had dinner at Flo's V8, which I remember being just an okay experience. The food was fine, but I remember my son being pretty tired and cranky and we couldn't eat outside because the wind was starting to get VERY strong (there was a wind advisory the following day). So it wasn't the most memorable experience, but that's fine. We called it a night after that, so back to the hotel to get some sleep and get ready for the next day, which was the first day of Christmas in the parks!

Make sure you come back next week when I will recap our final park day as well as our travel day home. Thanks for following along!

For a little fun, here are some pictures we took on a couple of the rides- my son's face is just precious!
