Wednesday, November 7, 2018: Day Four

This day, we were able to sleep in a little bit because the first thing we had planned for the day was a 9:00 am reservation for a character breakfast at Storyteller's Café at the Grand Californian. The day before, we had actually decided to add one more park day to our ticket, making it a 5 day ticket instead of 4 days, so we did that on our way to the restaurant. (It only ended up costing us an extra $30 to add one more day! Shows that the more days you spend at the parks, the less per day it ends up costing you)

Always time to stop and watch the fountains :)

My son enjoyed the little rocking chairs in front of the Mickey cartoons :)

First of all, the Grand Californian is beautiful! My husband and I love the craftsman style, so this hotel is definitely on our bucket list! Breakfast was great too! The buffet was pretty good and the character interactions were very cute :) I wasn't sure what to expect after the first few character interactions we had, but my son was watching the Cars movie on a phone and the characters watched the movie with him, so that helped break the ice!

All of these characters were seriously SO GOOD at getting him engaged and at ease!

After breakfast, we went into the park for a few hours. We took some photo passes, got a Dole Whip float (which, personally, I think is way better than just the regular Dole Whip!), and road a few rides- Haunted Mansion (the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay is super fun!), Casey Jr. Circus Train, and Storybook Land Canal Boats.

Yum!

We got the now-extinct Max Pass on our trip, which included Photo Pass, so we got a lot of good family photos! If you can afford Photo Pass, I would definitely recommend it!

This Tinker Bell photo turned out much better than the one on Day Two 😂

We then left the park for lunch at Downtown Disney and met our friend at Splitsville. We weren't too hungry after a big breakfast, so we split a couple of things (I literally can't remember what we split!). We were seated right near an empty stage, so my son got to run around and burn some energy out.

It was back to the hotel for naps after that, then back to Disneyland for the evening. We finally got to ride Indiana Jones, we went on the Astro Blasters, we took a loop on the monorail, we road the Teacups, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and the King Arthur Carrousel. We did a little shopping on our way out of the park, then back to the hotel for bed.

He took VERY good naps on this trip!

Snacks while we wait for daddy to go on Indiana Jones!

Short and sweet, but I hope you enjoyed this recap! Make sure you stop by next Tuesday for our last California Adventures day!
