Happy Monday and welcome to our first day of Budget Babes week! I'm teaming up with the super sweet Ada of Elegance & Mommyhood to bring to you our budget-conscious trends for summer! The whole idea is to show you how you can try out all the in-fashion trends without breaking the bank to do so. Each of our pieces this week is $20 or under, with our total outfit price not exceeding $75.
Our first item this week is the Maxi! They are super comfy, pretty, and perfect for summer! Or like I always call them, dressy pajamas :) Here is my take on this trend:
Maxi Dress (shop-my-closet): $12
Nude Wedges (Payless): $5.05
Cardigan- seen below (Old Navy): $10 (?)
Earrings (Target-gift): $0
Total = $27.05 (I'd say that's a perfect way to start off the week!)
I wore this outfit to a wedding a few weeks ago. It was in a museum, so I wasn't sure about temperatures inside (which is why I wore a cardigan), but it ended up being pretty warm, so I wore this dress sans-cardigan for most of the evening.
Since the dress has a pretty bold print, I kept accessories simple and just wore my trusty Target earrings. They are honestly some of my favorites and I wear them quite often!
Also, different hair! I love the side-swept look, and this is becoming one of my go-to looks for 'special' occasions! (haha I think this is the 3rd wedding so far I've done this look for!) I just wish my hair would grow out faster so it would be a little longer. Oh well.
Here is Ada's maxi look! I think the pink is a perfect color for summer and I really love the print of her shirt as well as the pops of turquoise! I love how she incorporated other colors in her jewelry and shoes, because what better time to have colorful outfits than the warm months of summer?
Now it's your turn to show us your budget maxi looks! The link-up is below and will run through the 23rd at midnight CST, so you have plenty of time to link up all of this week's looks.
We would please ask that you follow both Ada and I on Bloglovin' so you can keep up with each of this week's trends.
Also, make sure you link back to both of our blogs on your post!
