Weekend Happenings/Thrifted Outfit
Hello bloggy friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Here's what we were up to:
Friday
After work and lunch, I went to the gym for awhile (completely dead there at that time!).
For dinner, a group of us went to a local church's fish fry. It was so busy! I guess it's rated one of the best in the Twin Cities, so we had to wait awhile before we could even get in to buy our tickets! It was pretty good, though. We had a couple drinks after and chatted for awhile.
Saturday
I woke up with a headache :/ (probably attributed to the later than normal bedtime) I did manage to go thrifting and grocery shopping before I crashed and took a nap for the rest of the afternoon. (Aren't naps a wonderful thing?)
We decided to rent a couple movies from Redbox to watch with dinner (American Hustle and Equilibrium). American Hustle didn't work, so we watched the other one, then called it a night.
Sunday
We went to church in the morning, then ran some errands after. I went to the gym (is it weird that while on the tredmill I watch the Food Network??).
We have a collection of 16 free tickets to a local movie theater, so we decided to redeem two of them and saw Frozen. This is a cool movie theater in which they show 'older' movies and have a full menu. We got waffle fries, seasoned sour cream, a beer, and wine. Yum.
Another reason we like going to this theater is that it has a neat little thrift store right next door. Well, we haven't been there in months, and come to find the store doubled in size! I'll show you what I found in tomorrow's post.
Homemade pizza and How I Met Your Mother rounded out our weekend. (Is anyone else excited to see how they are going to do the finale?)
Here's a couple of pieces I got from thrifting on Saturday. I was so excited to wear them, I washed them right away and wore them yesterday to church and our outings:

Here's a couple of pieces I got from thrifting on Saturday. I was so excited to wear them, I washed them right away and wore them yesterday to church and our outings:
Blazer: Goodwill
Top: Goodwill
Jeans: Gap
Boots: Just Fab
Purse: Old Navy (old!)
Bracelets: Gifts
Necklace: Farmer's Market
I tried my hand at stacking my bracelets. I really like the coral and turquoise combination of the two, plus it gives a nice pop against the white and yellow. Same with the necklace. Hubby loves it, but I never know what tops to pair it with. I thought this fit well with the V in the blazer.
I've been keeping my eye out for a blazer, and this one is perfect for the transition into Spring/Summer!
Linking Up: Greater Than Rubies, DC in Style, The Pleated Poppy
Cute outfit! We watched Frozen this Sunday too. My kids had seen it in the theater with my in-laws, so my husband got it on Blu-Ray and we watched for Family Movie Night. The kids kept "spoiling" it for us. :P
ReplyDeleteI love that white blazer! So fierce.
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I've been keeping my eye out for a blazer at thrift stores too.
ReplyDeleteYou did well thrifting! Some great pieces and a fun combination. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect find for the transition between winter and spring! I'm so glad you linked up your remix with us!
